SKNRA Partners with Gwendoline van Putten School to Launch Robotics Club and Implement CSEC Information Technology Curriculum

The St Kitts and Nevis Robotics Association (SKNRA) is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the Gwendoline van Putten School in Saint Eustatius. This collaboration has successfully led to the establishment of the island’s first-ever Robotics Club and the implementation of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Information Technology curriculum at the school.

Four members of the SKNRA traveled to Saint Eustatius to train young students in robotics and support the integration of the CSEC Information Technology curriculum. The initiative is part of SKNRA’s ongoing mission to enhance STEM education throughout the Caribbean, providing students with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in a technology-driven world.

“We are thrilled to congratulate Saint Eustatius, especially the Gwendoline van Putten School, on the establishment of their very first Robotics Club! 🤖🎉” said a representative from SKNRA. “The SKNRA is proud to partner with GVP to ensure the success of this exciting initiative. Congratulations once again to GVP and all the students who will benefit from this incredible opportunity!”

The Robotics Club will serve as a hands-on learning platform where students can engage with robotics technology, learn coding, and apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a team environment. It will also provide opportunities for students to participate in regional and international competitions, further expanding their exposure and experience in the field.

In addition to launching the Robotics Club, the implementation of the CSEC Information Technology curriculum represents a significant step forward for the Gwendoline van Putten School. By integrating this curriculum, the school is now equipped to offer students a comprehensive understanding of information technology, preparing them for both higher education and careers in the growing tech industry.

The SKNRA is committed to supporting the Gwendoline van Putten School in its mission to cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence in technology education. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of these initiatives on the students and the community as a whole.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in SKNRA’s efforts to expand STEM education across the Caribbean, demonstrating our commitment to empowering the youth with the skills and knowledge necessary to become the innovators of tomorrow.
